Travis holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Adelaide and was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2011. He was later admitted to and has had litigation in the High Court of Australia.
Travis commenced his career by clerking for leading King’s Counsel, Marie Shaw KC and working at a commercial litigation firm, before undertaking an associateship with the Honourable Justice Peek of the Supreme Court of South Australia. Travis then worked at the Legal Services Commission and went on to join Iles Selley Lawyers in 2013. Travis was made a Principal of that firm in 2022 and, in January 2025, started Agresta Moran together with Dominic Agresta which specialises in litigation and dispute resolution.
Travis is experienced in commercial, criminal and disciplinary matters, particularly those in which various areas of law intersect. He has acted in high profile and complex matters including those relating to politicians, serious and organised crime with alleged international criminal offending, white collar crime, professional disputes in relation to registrations and licences for companies and individuals. He is often referred sensitive matters, from Senior Counsel or other lawyers, which require delicate hands-on management for individuals, company directors or sports people, in civil and or criminal litigation.
Travis is recognised by his peers in Doyle’s Guide for his work in commercial litigation and dispute resolution as well as criminal law.
He is also a member of the Judicial Appeals Panel of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (the International Volleyball Federation), based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Travis was a member of the Australian Olympic Team at the Athens Olympics in 2004, representing Australia in the Men’s Indoor Volleyball. He is a past President and Director of the South Australian Olympic Council as well as an Ambassador for the Premier’s Reading Challenge which promotes reading in primary schools across South Australia.
