Katie graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of International Studies in 2018 and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) in 2019. After completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, she was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of South Australia in July 2020.

 

Katie commenced her career at Lipman Karas (now LK Law) where she worked for over two years on a range of local and international commercial litigation and insolvency disputes. She left this role in late 2020 to take up the position as Associate to the Honourable President Livesey of the Court of Appeal Division of the Supreme Court of South Australia. 

 

Upon completion of her associateship, Katie joined Iles Selley Lawyers in 2022 where she worked on a range of commercial and criminal disputes with Dominic Agresta and Travis Moran, before joining them at Agresta Moran in January 2025. 


Katie has experience in both criminal and commercial matters and has a particular interest in matters where there is an interplay or overlap between these different areas of law. Since her admission, Katie has been involved in a number of high profile and complex cases including criminal proceedings against company directors, complex murder appeals, challenges to the lawfulness of police operations, criminal offences committed overseas and serious and organised crime related offences.

 

In addition to her legal practice, Katie is also involved in the Law School at the University of Adelaide, including in the teaching and assessment of subjects including Corporate Law, Property Law, Commercial Transactions and Company and Business Law. Her academic writing and research has been published in journals including the Companies & Securities Law Journal and the Adelaide Law Review.
